Analysing reports and community feedback to refine the masterplan
The City of Melbourne, in partnership with the Victoria Government and University of Melbourne, announced their intention to revive and expand University Square in 2015.
The Space Agency was engaged by City of Melbourne to conduct community engagement workshops with residents, students, visitors and workers who use this inner-city green space. Following this, The Space Agency created detailed engagement outcomes reports that synthesises community recommendations in order to direct an improved masterplan design.
The revised masterplan for University Square includes barbecues, basketball courts, moveable seats and solar-powered electronic device charging points, as well as a 40 per cent increase in the size of the park that will see underused streets converted into green space.
